What to do...

Just follow these simple steps:

Reset your iPhone

 

Phones sometimes just need a break- turning them off and back on is all you need to do:

  • Press and hold down the power button to turn the phone off.
  • To turn it back on hold down the power button again.
  • There are extra tips if your iPhone has frozen or is unresponsive on the Apple website

Clean the SIM

 

Sometimes dust can get between the SIM and the phone causing communication issues:

  • Turn the phone off and remove the SIM card
  • Clean the gold connectors on the SIM with a clean lint-free cloth. Be careful SIMs can be fragile
  • Turn the phone on without the SIM
  • Turn the phone off, replace the SIM and restart the phone

Update the software

 It could be a software issue, make sure you have the latest software for your phone. Go to Apple's software update page.

Work out what's not working

 

Your issue will be with either your SIM or your phone, find out which by trying your SIM in a different phone or a different SIM in your phone.
