Connecting to a Wi-Fi network

What is Wi-Fi?

Wi-Fi is a way of connecting your device to the internet without wires. Instead of using a mobile network connection like 3G and GPRS, it picks up the internet via Wi-Fi routers. These are small devices that are always connected to the internet and transmit signals around them which your device can pick up. Routers are used at home as well as public places like schools, offices, cafés and pubs.

Connecting to a Wi-Fi network

  • In Menu
  • Select Settings
  • Select Connectivity
  • Select Wi-Fi
  • Your phone will automatically search for networks
  • Select the check box next to a network you want to connect to
  • Enter a password for the network and select OK

Remember

Keeping connections running uses up your battery. Once you've finished, remember to return to the home screen to turn any connections off.
