Discovering S Pen

Use your device as a notepad to write texts and create drawings.

S Pen actions

Action Desciption Example
Tap Tap an item or area on the screen to select an item or open a menu Open an application
Tap and hold Tap and hold the S Pen on an item for more than two seconds

Drag an item to another screen
Double-tap Quickly tap an item or area twice Highlight text on the pad
Flick Tap an area on the screen and then slowly drag the S Pen up, down, left, right to move through lists Scroll through internet pages
Draw Draw a line or shape on the drawing pad Create pictures on the pad
Write Write text on the handwriting panel Write notes from a meeting

Using S Note

Record detailed personal notes and enhance them with images, music and sketches.  

Creating a note

  1. Select the Apps icon on the top right hand corner of the screen
  2. Select S Note
  3. Select the Plus sign on the top of the page
  4. Select Template              
  5. Enter text or draw sketch

    The note templates include:

    • Meeting note: create recordings of meetings, conferences or lectures.
    • Magazine: create multimedia notes by inserting images.
    • Diary: create a photo diary.
    • Recipe: record your own recipes.
    • Travel: write travel essays.
    • Note/Idea note: create a simple note from an empty page
