Syncing your devices

Syncing your device means transferring data from one device to another, such as from your phone to your computer and vice versa.

This is useful for:

• Moving music, messages and contacts and keeping precious things safe
• Coordinating functions such as calendar and email

Sometimes you'll need to install software on your computer before this is possible. To do this you'll need to use the installation CD that came with your device or by downloading software from your manufacturer's website. Syncing two devices usually requires a USB cable.

If you find you are doing this a lot you may benefit from a buying a docking station, this makes syncing more convenient.
