BB PlayBook Activating Wi-Fi

What is Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is a way of connecting your device to the internet without wires. Instead of using a mobile network connection like 3G and GPRS, it picks up the internet via Wi-Fi routers. These are small devices that are always connected to the internet and transmit signals around them which your device can pick up. Routers are used at home as well as public places like schools, offices, cafés and pubs.

To see if there are any Wi-Fi routers your device can use, set up Wi-Fi on your device. These settings will often be in your device under headings like: set up, connectivity, manage connections, scan for Wi-Fi or simply Wi-Fi. Once activated your device will start scanning for Wi-Fi networks in your area.
