Sony Car

Pre-installed on your Sony Xperia Z is an app called 'Sony Car', accessible from the apps screen. It's designed to make it easier and safer for you to use your smartphone to aid driving – but observe caution and keep your hands free to operate your vehicle and your eyes on the road at all times.

Once you've opened the app you'll see 6 boxes. These let you quickly access Location, Media, Phone and Settings apps, and the boxes with addition signs can be used as shortcuts to any other apps. Selecting Location, for example, holds the Navigation, Places and Maps app, making it quick and easy to find routes. For further shortcuts, swipe to the left and choose for example, the Voice Dialler to make calls quickly and safely.

Select the All apps button
Select Sony Car
Read the instructions and select Ok

To add another app to the homescreen, select the Plus sign

Select one of the shortcuts available

Now your shortcut will appear on the Sony car home page
