Setting up parental controls using Restrictions on your iPhone

Restrictions are parental controls that allow you to prevent access to some of your device's features. For example, set up restrictions on certain web pages or prevent applications from being installed and deleted.

  1. Select Settings from the home screen

  1. Select General
  Parental controls
  1. Select Restrictions
  Parental controls
  1. Select Enable Restrictions
  Parental controls
  1. Enter a passcode
  Parental controls
  1. Then re-enter the passcode
  Parental controls
  1. Now you can select which restrictions you want on your device.

Adding Restrictions

  1. Select Settings from the home screen

  1. Select General
  Parental controls
  1. Select Restrictions
  Parental controls
  1. Enter your passcode
  Parental controls
  1. From the list available, select the option and swipe the toggle to off
  Parental controls
  1. Now select the home button and your restrictions will now be in place
  Parental controls

Disabling Restrictions

  1. Select Settings from the home screen

  1. Select General
  Parental controls
  1. Select Restrictions
  Parental controls
  1. Enter your passcode
  Parental controls
  1. Select Disable Restrictions
  Parental controls
  1. Enter your passcode
  Parental controls
  1. These restrictions will now be removed
