Setting up Wi-Fi

What is Wi-Fi?

Wi-Fi uses radio waves to connect to the internet without wires. Instead of using a mobile network connection like 3G or GPRS, it picks up the internet via Wi-Fi hotspots.
These hotspots (also know as routers) can be found in public places like offices, cafés and libraries; they transmit signals your can device pick up. You may already have one at home for accessing a broadband line.

Wi-Fi is also referred to as WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) on some devices.

Setting up Wi-Fi

Select Settings from the home screen
Select Wi-Fi
Select Secure Wi-Fi network

Remember

Keeping connections running uses up your battery. Once you've finished, remember to return to the home screen to turn any connections off.
