Wi-Fi

What is Wi-Fi?

Wi-Fi is a way of connecting your device to the internet without wires. Instead of using a mobile network connection like 3G and GPRS, it picks up the internet via Wi-Fi routers. These are small devices that are always connected to the internet and transmit signals around them which your device can pick up. Routers are used at home as well as public places like schools, offices, cafés and pubs.

Connecting to a Wi-Fi network on your Lumia

  • On the home screen select the arrow
  • Select Settings
  • Select Wi-Fi
  • Next to Password, move the zimmer switch to On
  • Your Lumia will start scanning for Wi-Fi networks to connect to
  • Select a secure one from the list on screen

Remember!

Keeping connections running uses up your battery. Once you've finished, remember to return to Settings to turn Wi-Fi off.
