Troubleshooting your TouchPad

What to do...

We get a lot of requests for repairs and technical help which you can fix yourself, saving you time.
Just follow these simple steps:
 1

Restart your TouchPad

Tablets sometimes just need a break - turning them off and back on is all you need to do:

  1. To turn the tablet off press and hold the power button and tap Shut Down.
  2. To turn it back on hold down the power button until the HP logo appears.
  • If this hasn't fixed the problem try a restart. Hold down the power and centre buttons at the same time for around 15 seconds, until the HP logo appears.

Update the software

It could be a software issue, make sure you have the latest software for your TouchPad.

  1. Open System Updates on the Settings tab
    • Your device will automatically check if there are any updates available
  2. If an update is available; tap Download now
  3. Once the update has downloaded, install it separately when prompted

You can only download and/or install a system update if the battery has at least 30% charge
