Finding your item's IMEI/serial number
What is an IMEI number?
IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity. It's a unique number given to every phone and used to identify it from other phones - a bit like a number plate for your device. IMEI numbers are usually 15 to 17 digits long.
Finding your IMEI number
- You can find your IMEI number by calling *#06# from your phone (your phone won't actually make a call and you won't be charged).
- Additionally, on most devices, the IMEI number will be printed in small letters on a sticker underneath the battery.
- On iPhones, it's printed on the SIM tray. For help finding this, visit Device Advice, and select your iPhone model.
