What do I need to include when I send my chequeback claim?

Chequeback checklist

Before you send your claim, use this checklist to make sure you've included all the info we need

  1. Make sure you don't owe any money from a previous month's bill
  2. Check that you're sending us the right bill. If you're not sure which bill you need to send, go to the chequeback calculator
  3. Write us a quick note that includes your:
    • Name - this must be the person named on the account.
    • Address - this needs to be the same address as on your bill. What to do if your address has changed since you signed up.
    • Carphone Warehouse customer account number - your account number that was given to you when you got your phone.
    • Mobile phone number - if you transferred an old mobile phone number to the account you get phone or you've changed your number since you signed up, the phone number on our records may be wrong. Add a quick explanation to your note so we can look into it.
  4. Make sure you include a photocopy of the first two pages of your bill. If your bill is only one page then just photocopy that page. If you get bills online, print the first two pages
  5. Put everything in an envelope and send it to: The Carphone Warehouse, Chequebacks, PO Box 356, Southampton, SO30 2PG
    • Please use Royal Mail's "Recorded Signed For™" service (usually called Recorded Delivery).
    • Keep the receipt given to you by the Royal Mail as it will show your reference tracking number.

What happens next?

  • We'll send you a text when we receive your chequeback claim.
  • If there's a problem with your claim, we'll send you an email to let you know what's happening.
  • From the day we receive your chequeback claim, it can take up to 60 days for your cheque to reach you. We'll send you a text to let you know when it's on its way.
