Mobile phone warranty periods

The length of a phone's warranty depends on the manufacturer

Warranties start on the day you buy the phone:

  • The above warranty lengths are for handsets sold through The Carphone Warehouse.
  • If you purchased from another retailer, you must check with them what your warranty period is before putting your handset in for repair with us. We will only know your warranty period when the engineer runs a check at our repair centre.
  • Non Carphone Warehouse customers requesting warranty repairs must provide proof of purchase when logging in their repair.
  • Warranty would be void  if there is sign of customer damage in the vicinity of  the fault as well as for  cracked  screens

Refurbished phones have slightly different rules:

  • All refurbished handsets and chargers come with a 12 month warranty.
  • LG and Nokia refurbished phones have a 6 month battery warranty. For all other refurbished handsets, the battery warranty is 12 months.

 

 

You may need to update the software on your phone

To get the most from your phone, it's a good idea to update its software every now and again. Also, you may think your phone is broken and in need of a repair when a simple software update will do the trick. These updates are free and have some great benefits. Find out more.
