How long do repairs take?

How long your repair takes depends what type of store you visit. You can find your nearest store using our store locator

If you bring your product into an Express Repair Tech Hub

• Many products can be fixed on site on the same day (we manage to fix about 80% of phones on the same day, though some repairs can take longer).
• Laptops need to be sent to our central repair centre for repair - it can can take up to 28 days for them to arrive back in store for you to collect.

If you bring your product into a store without an Express Repair Tech Hub

• Some laptops need to be sent back to the manufacturer for checks once they've been repaired. We'll let you know if your laptop needs this - if this is the case it can can take up to 28 days for it to arrive back in store from the time you drop it off.

If your product has to be sent to the manufacturer for specialist repair

Sometimes we'll need to send your product back to the manufacturer. It can take up to 28 days until it's ready to collect. Please note that we aren't responsible for the time the manufacturer takes to repair a product.

If your tablet, laptop or games console is faulty:

We recommend you contact your manufacturer directly. Though we'll happily organise your repair for you, all laptops, tablets and games consoles have to go to the manufacturer for repair, so you'll get your product back quicker if you miss us out and go straight to them.

Occasionally your repair may take longer if:

• A Tech Hub Express Repair Centre needs to send a device to our central repair centre - this can add up to 14 days to the overall repair time.
• Our central repair centre needs to send your device to the manufacturer for repair - this can add up to 14 days to the overall repair time.
• We don't have the part we need to fix your phone in stock - parts usually arrive within three working days.

You may need to update the software on your phone

To get the most from your phone, it's a good idea to update its software every now and again. Also, you may think your phone is broken and in need of a repair when a simple software update will do the trick. These updates are free and have some great benefits. Find out more.
